Can I add local or toll-free numbers to my answering service?

Certainly.  In addition to the number you choose when activating your answering service, you can add as many additional business numbers as you wish – whether local numbers or freephone numbers.  Most of the time phone numbers can be set up for you instantly, pending availability.

Additional numbers are great for:

  • tracking the origin of different business numbers you forward to us
  • having different greetings on the same account
  • measuring the impact of campaigns
  • appearing to have a more national presence

Toll-free numbers can be taken with you if you ever choose to leave our service, however, local numbers are associated with answering services and cannot be ported out.
